ERC Ingolstadt erhielt als erste PENNY DEL Mannschaft Diversity-Schulung

Die Mannschaft des ERC Ingolstadt nahm am gestrigen 8. Februar 2021 als erste PENNY DEL Mannschaft an der Diversity-Schulung von Hockey is Diversity teil.

Aufgrund der Pandemie fand die Schulung online statt.

„Mit der ersten Diversity-Schulung war es uns wichtig, den Spielern die Begrifflichkeiten rundum das Thema Rassismus zu erklären. Damit wurde ein wichtiges Fundament gelegt. Darauf aufbauend werden weitere Module folgen. Für den reibungslosen Ablauf unserer ersten Schulung sind wir dem ERC Ingolstadt sehr dankbar!“, so Hockey is Diversity Gründer und CEO, Dr. Martin Hyun.

„Unsere Spieler stehen in der Öffentlichkeit, sind Vorbilder, nicht nur im sportlichen Bereich und es ist gut, auch in solch einem wichtigen Bereich sensibilisiert zu werden“, sagt ERC-Sportdirektor Larry Mitchell.

Am 20. Januar 2021 wurde zwischen der PENNY DEL und Hockey is Diversity eine offizielle Partnerschaft vereinbart. Ziel der Partnerschaft ist es Rassismus zu bekämpfen und eine inklusive Willkommenskultur im Eishockey zu schaffen.

ERC Ingolstadt is the first PENNY DEL team to receive diversity training

Yesterday, February 8th, 2021, the players of the ERC Ingolstadt became the first PENNY DEL team to participate in Hockey is Diversity’s diversity training. Due to the pandemic, the training took place online.

„With the first diversity training, it was important for us to explain the terminology around racism to the players. This laid an important foundation. Building on this, further modules will follow. We are very grateful to ERC Ingolstadt for the great organization and technical support for our first training!“ said Hockey is Diversity founder and CEO, Dr. Martin Hyun.

„Our players are in the public eye, they are role models, not only in sports and it is good to be sensitized in such an important area as well,“ said ERC Sports Director Larry Mitchell.

On January 20, 2021, an official partnership was agreed between the PENNY DEL and Hockey is Diversity. The aim of the partnership is to combat racism and make hockey a more inclusive and welcoming place for all.
